POSITION DESCRIPTION

[STRANG] is looking for an architectural designer with a minimum of 3 years work experience who will produce drawing sets in Revit.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Perform work requiring judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Prepare architectural specifications, plans and renderings under the direction of an architect/project manager.
  • Work collaboratively with office staff and other satellite offices.
  • Coordinate and maintains project files including correspondence, drawings, and other relevant materials associated with projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Approximately 3 years of work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture
  • Portfolio of completed designs

Architect / Project Manager  (1/12/22)

Sweet Sparkman Architecture & Interiors, a successful and growing architecture firm in Sarasota, Florida, and recipient of the AIA Florida 2018 Firm of the Year, is seeking a Project Manager who is able to provide senior-level architectural design, documentation and project management expertise.

Job Duties:

  • Communicates and develops designs with Firm Principals, clients, other architects, engineers, and designers. Develops and coordinates presentation documents.
  • Coordinates the preparation of and reviews final drawings, specifications, and documents before submittals. Coordinates the submission of project documents to jurisdictional agencies.
  • Oversee the production and delivery of Construction Documents and Specifications. Check CDs for completeness, accuracy, and coordination among disciplines.
  • Coordinate with consultants on building elements and solutions.
  • Assists client as required in the bidding process by preparing bid documents, answering the Contractor’s RFIs, and coordinating the preparation of addenda to the bid documents.
  • Manage the project schedules; manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Participate in the development of budget and fee proposals.
  • Provide mentoring, management and drawing supervision of junior staff members.
  • Strong understanding of how to analyze a site to determine constraints on site development; provide critical analysis of code and zoning issues.
  • Extensive understanding of building systems; construction materials, methods, and standards; structural principals and building codes.
  • Strong documentation and field observation skills with an understanding of how documents translate to contractors.
  • Strong graphic and visualization skills.

Sweet Sparkman Architecture & Interiors is a successful and growing design firm in Sarasota, Florida. We are seeking an exceptional Licensed Interior Designer to join our team. Responsibilities include interpreting, organizing, and executing the conceptual design of a project as well as utilizing creativity, foresight, and judgment to meet project requirements and objectives through project completion.

Job Duties:

  • Work closely with the architectural team on project design, material and finish selections, project documentation and management.
  • Work with design team to establish the interior design project concepts.
  • Guide and execute Interior Design projects through all phases of design.
  • Prepare 3D concept perspectives, interior elevations, details, finish, and furniture plans/specifications.
  • Produce all necessary interiors-related construction documents to a high level of accuracy and detail.
