BUILDING A DAY PROGRAM

Background:

The Center for Architecture Sarasota in partnership with the AIA FL Gulf Coast Chapter have established a program to recognize the architectural heritage of Florida during the month of October with an event to be identified as Archtober Sarasota. Archtober will be an annual program and the Building a Day Program will part of this annual celebration.

31 projects from throughout Florida will be chosen for the month and will be identified and highlighted each day of the month during October on the AIA FL Gulf Coast website, CFA website, and a daily eblast to members. At least 3 projects need to be from the Sarasota area.

The 31 projects will be reproduced in a poster to be available at the end of the Archtober Sarasota event.

Projects to be included during the month will be chosen by a committee comprised of members from CFA and AIA FL Gulf Coast. Committee members will be chosen by the respective organizations and the size of the selection committee is to be determined.

Criteria:

Each project submitted for consideration will require a 100 word narrative with no more than 3 images.  Images need to be at least 300 dpi.

Projects can be of current architecture or of our past architectural heritage.

Project submissions should be submitted no later than September 19.

Please submit project submissions to info@aiagulfcoast.org
